Website Update
December 21, 2008
Well, I have added a few more products to our website. I added the Photo Albums and the Crayon Rolls. These both make great gift ideas. It is such
a challenge trying to figure out how to get our products to sell on the internet. Everything I find claims to increase traffic and sales but so far I don’t see it.
Yeah!!! We got our first website order! I’m so excited. I have put so much time into trying to make this thing work. Our products are also represented at Carolina Moon Trading in Youngsville NC as well as Blue Moon Gift Shops in Wilmington NC. Visit our website to see what we have to offer, www. ababysluv.com. Thanks for checking us out!
It’s sooo easy!
December 8, 2008
You know, I think all I need to do is invest in an infomercial on how to make Bizillions while you do nothing at all! Yes, that’s right! Do nothing; make lots of money. My parents always taught me that an honest days work for an honest days pay is the way to go. I think there is lots of moral substance to that, however, I sure would like to rake in some of the money all of these informercials and websites promote. I fell victim to one such informerical that claimed you COULD make lots while doing little. I think I finally figured out that if I can sucker….ahem, convince people to buy MY program or idea then I could retire from my day job, travel and try to find new ways to spend more money than I know what to do with. What is my idea??? That is the big question. I guess I will keep at my day job and work hard to make A Baby’s Luv produce money instead of spend it!
Eaton Elementary Bazaar Bazaar
December 7, 2008
Well, today was the 1st annual Eaton Elementary Bazaar Bazaar! We had the esteemed honor of having the most Bazaar gift at the Bazaar as indicated by Eaton Live. Diaper Cakes. Yes, Diaper Cakes. No, they are not used diapers! Laurie has been making them for 2 years now, so to us they are our core item for our business, A Baby’s Luv!. No Bazaar at all….unless you are in elementary school.
Laurie had a pretty good day. Sales were not bad for 4 hours. We did, however, suffer our first loss to shoplifters…..our business card holder and business cards. Either we posed a serious threat to other vendors or someones’ 2 year old has a souvenir. I will go with the latter!
Frustration
December 5, 2008
You know, I somehow seem to be the guy that is one step away from the next big thing! I thought a long time ago that if I could transmit light through hair thin glass I could revolutionize the way we communicate. Then I find out Corning has been making fiber optics for years! Ok, maybe I didn’t dream up optical fiber but I do want to find a way to procure my little crumb of the internet pie. So many people have made SO much money on the internet that it makes me sick. I have designed 3 websites; none of which have had ANY success. I am working hard on my 4th website and I hope I can make this one work in some manner. I know that my market is out there, I just have to get them spend money on MY website. Wish me luck.
Business Decisions
December 4, 2008
I have to say that deciding to start any business in today’s economy must be one of the hardest decisions ever. I have noticed that even in this time of financial uncertainty; the entrepenural spirit doesn’t seem to falter. It is in that spirit that we have decided to move our business forward by expanding our wholesale business and doing more consignment business. I have also begun the daunting task of revamping our website in an effort to grow our internet business. Wish us luck as we move forward with our business!
